I always end my morning releasing sessions with this question because it helps me drop any remaining emotions or hang-ups. If I ask, “Am I 100% happy?” and the answer is no, then I know I need to drop everything to find that state of perfect peace.
As you try this, you are going to hit major resistances. The ego is very nervous about being 100% happy, it doesn’t like it, it doesn’t feel safe to the ego to be that happy.
Nevertheless, you can still release all the blocks that come up and find happiness. What might those resistances be?
The “Buts”: Butttttt how can I be 100% happy when [insert life problem] is happening!
The “What ifs”: What if I get sick, what if I lose everything, what if I die or someone I love dies.
The “I don’t deserve to be happy”: I can’t be happy because I’ve done something bad, not achieved enough, etc.
The “The world is a sad place”: I can’t be happy because it’s not fair to be happy in a terrible world.
The “Subtles”: The presence of non-verbal, usually angsty or fearful emotions, just under consciousness can block 100% happiness. These may even feel as if they are in your peri-personal space or “aura.”
I could go on, but generally speaking, if you just start to drop all of these, you can always find 100% happiness. Let go of everything and you’ll find that, actually, underneath all of that worry and fear and anger and so on you are already 100% happy. You are just revealing your natural state by letting go of all blocks – just clear the storm clouds and it’s always sunny.
